I am proud to announce that Crowdson and Company is now the Preferred Videographer of Springfield’s historic Pasfield House. I’ve taped events such as the Roman Cultural Society’s Columbus Day dinner and a special presentation by the Tea Ladies there, and now (along with photographer Ed Sandoval), will be offering a special package price for couples getting married and/or having their reception at the beautiful Pasfield House. Their website is down for maintenance as I write this, but you can learn more at www.pasfieldhouse.com.

Video testimonials are a great tool for your website, commercials, or sales videos. I’m need to start using them myself. Here’s a neat way to get a bunch at once from duct tape marketing:
Why not create an event around gathering testimonials. Invite your best customers for a networking social happy hour. Promote the event as a chance to network, swap stories and star in the creation of new marketing materials for your company. Give it a Hollywood theme. (This probably isn’t something you would do large scale, this is for those customers that are advocates already.)
Hire a videographer and photographer and then throughout the course of the evening, let your customers cycle through the video seat to tell their story of success with your firm. Most people enjoy being on camera once they do it and the whole group will be entertained by the event and feed off of each other’s energy. (This is something you should be doing anyway so why not do it all at one time.)

Moved to beautiful Downtown Springfield this week! My new HQ is high atop the Myers building (714 to be exact). It’ll be awhile before I’m fully settled in, but I’m loving it so far. If you happen to be downtown and feel like stopping in, feel free (actually, better phone first – make sure I’m decent).

Just made it home from the Bridal Show. We had a big crowd – thanks to Jill, Amy, Ann, Sherie, Kelly, and all the other future Brides who stopped by. Looks like October will be the first month to fill up this year. I expected it to be June. May seems to be the runner-up.
I also enjoyed meeting all the vendors – Dan from Treetop Productions, Shailesh from Howard Johnson, Matt from Stevens DJ Service, Tim from Executive Transportation, Seth and Samuel from Men’s Wearhouse and all the others.
Sorry to all whose names escape me – it was a long day I’m still processing the information
I’d also like to thank Judy, my Capitol radio rep, and a BIG thanks to Lisa for helping me out at my booth – couldn’t have done it without you.
See you at the Midwest Radio show on the 25th!
