Brian Crowdson has 20 years experience as a video producer.  Prior to starting Crowdson & Company, he was Manager of Comcast Spotlight’s video production department in Springfield/Decatur/Champaign/Urbana, and Director of Access-4, Springfield’s Public Access Station.

Before being promoted to Production Manager, Brian worked as a Producer for Springfield’s previous cable systems (Times-Mirror, Cox, TCI, and AT&T), producing thousands of television commercials.  He has also worked for numerous other companies, including news stations WICS and WAND, KOST Broadcast, ESPN, Advanced Audio Video, St. George Productions, Tims on Location, SIU School of Medicine, WILL-TV and many others.

Recent satisfied clients include the Lincoln Home National Historic Site, The Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce, Horace Mann Insurance, the United Way of Central Illinois, Kirkland Fine Arts Center, The Springfield Illinois African-American History Foundation, the Illinois Dental Society, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Illinois, and many more.

Brian is a member of the Illinois Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce, the Springfield Illinois International Visitors Committee, and is a founding board member of the Capital Area Independent Business Alliance.

Editor/Cameraman Todd Cima graduated from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in May of 2008 with a degree in Radio and Television and a minor in Cinema and Photography. A former member of the 2008 Emmy award-winning alt.news 26:46, he’s produced content varying from the making of a Corvette, shot at the one and only Corvette factory in Bowling Green, KY, to The Blue Man Group “How to be a Rockstar Tour” at SIUC Arena, which won a Bronze Telly award and received 3 regional Emmy nominations. After graduation, Todd met Brian at Access 4 and joined Crowdson & Company shortly after. Todd’s also an active musician and is a drummer in two bands, The Green View and Cabin Fever. Cameraman Tony Thompson is a 23-year veteran of WICS NewsChannel 20, he now freelances for whoever can afford him.

Jon Schwab is the owner of St. Louis web design firm Ancillary Factory and Brian’s occasional collaborator, co-director, and editor. Jon has a Masters Degree in Communication with an emphasis on video production. His Masters project was a documentary on Springfield’s music scene. Jon has worked for Insight Media, Advanced Audio-Video, and the University of Illinois Office of Electronic Media. In addition to being a talented editor, Jon is also a graphic designer and guitarist, formerly with St. Louis-area band Stephano’s Plan.
